OVERSIZE FYI

If you are doing an overdimensional load and have point of entry permits (POE) or any other expenses that are eligible for reimbursement, you MUST send them in with your bill of lading and your delivery receipt. These are necessary to get you paid. Please write your unit number and trip number or order number on each slip or permit. Scanned receipts smaller than 8 ½ x 11 must be taped to a letter size piece of paper to be scanned. Please don’t put the tape on any printed images; it causes the ink to fade. These changes assist us in getting all pertinent paperwork in a timely manner in order to get the order billed and to get you paid. Any questions, please call Dana Bibb. Thanks for your help.

GREAT JOB MERCER TEAM!

I wanted to share with all of you, an email I received today from our Cincinnati (RIC)  agent, Rick Gardner.  It is just an example of the incredible service that our contractors, and or office personnel provides.  GO MERCER!

All,

For the past two years, Dover Corporation has attempted to utilize the services of a 3PL/Freight Broker to supply flatbed truckload services. After attempts with two different 3PL’s that resulted in less than desirable results, Dover has selected Mercer to be the Primary Flatbed Truckload Service provider. Vehicle Services, a subsidiary of Dover, is located in Madison Indiana and was formerly known as Rotary Lift. This location is the primary flatbed shipping location for Dover in North America.

Being selected as the Flatbed provider for Vehicle Services is an honor for all of us because it is Mercer that set the bar for service that the 3PLs could not meet. Mercer provided Vehicle Services outstanding service in the past and this history with VSG is the key to Mercer being awarded the business. The RIC office, along with the employees of Truck Operations, Brokerage and all of the Mercer drivers that served VSG in the past share congratulations and should be filled with a sense of pride that service and past performance helped bring a customer back from a competitor.

What this means for the future is a new opportunity to not only demonstrate the same outstanding service that VSG came to appreciate but to build a relationship with Dover Corp that will continue to expand and last for many years into the future. Now more than ever, we need to rise to the occasion and show why we continue to be the best flatbed carrier in the US.

 Congratulations.

 Rick Gardner
