Bad news early this Monday morning.  Former Mercer contractor Earl West, unit 1563 passed away last Thursday.  Earl started driving for Mercer in April, of 1986, and put in over 20 years with us here at Mercer.  Cards can be sent to the West family at 6343 Thornfield, Memphis TN  38134.  Earl will be greatly missed by all of us, and we will keep Earl’s family in our thoughts and prayers.

Earl will be missed. Earl had a heart the size of Texas. This has really saddened me this morning. Guess I was still more attached to my old drivers than I thought. God Bless you Earl. Rest in peace my friend!!

Earl was a good friend to us as well as many other drivers. Earl lived a good full life and always enjoyed telling his many tales of past deeds… both true and the ones that got stretched just a bit. But always told with humor. He will be missed. Rest in peace.
