I need some folks to contact me (Eric) who are using an All In One Printer Scanner Copier with Trippak. I need to find out if there are any All In One’s that are powered by USB and not a separate power supply. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I wanted to take some time this morning and thank you all for being who you are. Thank you for making Mercer what it is today. We appreciate all of you being here, working hard for yourselves and for the Company. Taking care of our customers (without which you and I wouldn’t be here.) For being courteous and professional out on the road and helping each other out to get the job done. Without all of this we couldn’t survive. It is a struggle everyday out there with all the new laws, rules and regulations that are taking place. But if we can stick together and keep the “Family” attitude that we have had for so many years I believe we can enjoy the benefits of the decisions we make today for many more years to come.

So Thank You Mercer Contractors for all you do. You are the BEST!!!!

Just an FYI for the NJ Parkways.

 

This is just an FYI for those of you who might be traveling this area.

In New Jersey and New York, the rule is NO TRUCKS ON PARKWAYS. Trucks are to use expressways, not parkways. Parkways have low bridges and no commercial vehicles or trailers are allowed in most places. The Garden State Parkway in New Jersey south of the Jersey City area does allow trucks. 2290′s – Something New.

Hello fellow Mercer contractors. I have recently been in contact with 2290tax.com to file your 2290′s. They have agreed to give us a small discount on the service fee only. Instead of the usual 29.99 they charge for processing the 2290 it is now only 20.00. For those of you out there that still need to file your 2290′s you can contact the contractor relations department to get this process going. To pay the initial 2290 the 550$ the IRS requires a bank routing number and bank account number. The service fee of 20.00 will be paid by Mercer and will be reimbursed to Mercer from your settlement or reserve account. The deadline that Mercer has set in place to pay your 2290 has been extended again to FEB 14th. Please have your 2290′s paid by this deadline. Thank you guys and GO MERCER !!!

Just a Friendly TriPpak Reminder.

 All: another reminder that NOTHING can be sent to us using tripPak. If a  
   driver is sending in a cod check, he should scan it with his paperwork  
   (if he uses scanning) so he can get paid, and MAIL the original check to
   us in a Mercer addressed, postage paid envelope. Anything that is being 
   sent here from a driver, including cameras going to claims, needs to be 
   sent in those ppd mercer envelopes. drivers will be charged $15 for any 
   envelope they send using tripPak.

2290′s Extended

The 2290′s have been extended by Mercer to Jan. 31st. Please have the appropriate documents prepared on or before the above date. However you still need to pay them before the 31st of Jan if you haven’t done so, so as not to accrue any late fees. Thank you guys and have a great day.

Contractor Web

Just a little heads up. I know some of you have called with a problem on the Contractor web not letting you view load info and having matched load problems. I have messaged ITSupport about the situation and hopefully we will have the issue resolved shortly. Thank you for your patience regarding this matter.     GO MERCER!!

TA in Wildwood FL.

Can we get the word out to the contractors on this? Of course we hope that we never have guys sitting for multiple days, but if they are sitting in FL,  Wildwood TA would love for them to stay there…

 

Dennis called to let us know that the TA in Wildwood FL is offering a deal for Mercer contractors that are laying over in FL. Mercer contractors can get a coupon from Dennis or any of the restaurant servers that will allow them to get a discounted meal for staying there multiple days when they are in the area. The first meal is regular price, 2^nd meal 20% off, 3^rd is 20% off, 4^th is 50% off.

   We are being told that our contractors are doing an awesome job.  Last  
   night UPS had 75 no shows, but not one of them was Mercer Transportation
   Co..  Great job by everyone, we are knocking it out of the park right now. 
   Please keep up the good job and the hard work because we are making a   
   great impression in the eyes of UPS.

OOIDA Call to Action Alert – Update on H.R. 674

To those of you who have been asking about the H.R. 674 bill. Here is an email I received from Ken Fredman. Thank you Ken.

Dear OOIDA Member, 
Today, President Obama signed into law H.R. 674.  This bill repealed the 2013 IRS requirement that all federal, state and larger local government entities withhold 3% of the payments they make to businesses that do work for them.  This “preemptive tax” on payments made by local, state and federal governments to anyone providing services to them would have created a tax filing nightmare for small business truckers.
This legislation passed because of YOUR efforts. You took the time to call your lawmakers and spread the word to other truckers and we appreciate you!

Mercer Points on your UltraOne Card.

For those of you who have been wondering what the Mercer points are that are showing up on your UltraOne card, I have found out that the points can be redeemed on NOV. 25th at any TA\Petro Kiosk. The points can only be used in the stores and will expire if unused on DEC 31 at Midnight.
